Day 2/due
Yesterday we went to Piazza del Popolo again. We
packed a picnic and went to the gardens opposite Piazza del Popolo. It was
delicious! We had focaccia, prosciutto, bread sticks, delicious cheese and
fruit. It was a feast! After our stomachs couldn't hold anymore we went through
the astounding entrance of Piazza del Popolo. As we entered, the feeling I had yesterday arose inside of me.
Excitement, astonishment and happiness. It felt great to be back and enjoy the
amazingness of the city centre. Unfortunately though there was no gelato that
day but still the mind boggling look and smell of it. After we finished
a couple of jobs around the square we had a little poke around the shops which
had the most amazing Italian clothes in shop windows, looked around bookstores
(where i bought Anne Franks diary) and souvenir shops for little gifts. This
day rocked!!!! When eventually we all got tired, had a quick snack and
had taken some good photos we decided to come back home to our apartment and
discuss the great adventures we had that day.
Day 1/uno
The feeling of me walking through the Piazza del Popolo was astounding. My mind was boggling. Could this be? I was walking through the historical streets of Rome. My mouth was drooping open because of the smell and look of the gelato. I couldn't wait to taste it. All of the buildings were beautiful. Amazing brick walls that were old or ancient. For me this experience was the best of my life!!!
The streets were filled with tourists like us. Of course the most beautiful thing I saw was the Fontana di Trevi (the Fountain of Trevi). Unfortunately they were doing repairs on the fountain, but I caught a glimpse of it. I was astonished, my mouth hung wide open and it felt like it was going to fall off.
We stopped for a pick me up and weirdly the food we had was prosciutto and rockmelon. TOGETHER!!!! It was weirdly quite good. By now I was begging for a gelato and my wish came true. 3 flavours for 2 euros 50. It made my mouth water. It was absolutely delicious. The taste melted into my mouth as a creamy delicious feeling. We visited the most amazing vintage stores and sports stores. We had to leave soon after but the feeling was still there of the AMAZING day I had.

Hi, Iv'e created this blog to share my interests in history and travel as these are things I am most passionate about. I feel and think that Italy is the best way to study history. The Colosseum, for example, shows history of the Romans. I am staying in Roma with my parents and sister. My Dad is really interested in me studying Italian history as is the rest of the family. My passions include history, travel, writing, art and reading. I like my schoolwork as well. My teachers always want to challenge me in my writing. I hope you enjoy my blog with pictures and descriptions for the next few months!!!!!
